THE CIFHS COLLECTION is housed at The Jersey Archive, Clarence Road, St. Helier, Jersey JE2 4JY
Public opening -Tues, Wed, Thurs 9am - 1pm and 2pm - 5pm
Late opening to 7pm the last Thursday in the month (except December).
Although the Reading Rooms are closed at lunchtime, it is now possible to access the catalogue, the PRIDE system and the internet along with a growing library of secondary sources at Reception throughout the day. A notice is displayed when there is extra assistance for visitors wishing to consult the CIFHS collection at the Helpdesk; CIFHS volunteers will normally be on duty.
The Lord Coutanche Library at the Société Jersiaise, 9 Pier Road could be a 'port of call' when the restricted hours at the Jersey Archive may inconvenience visitors researching in the islands for a limited time. Non Members of the Société Jersiaise must normally make an appointment in writing to visit their library, but CIFHS members may use the Library on production of their membership card.
